Yom  pa-nah  kel to-mer
As day turns, like the palm-tree's shade,

ef-ra  la-El  al-ay  go-mer,
I call on God to complete for me

am-ar  sho-mer,
that day of which the watchman says:

ata  vo-fer  ve-gam-lay-lah
"Morning will come, though it still be night!"

Be moved, awesome and wondrous God!

a-sha-oo-a  ten-ah  fid-yom

at sunset, the evening of the day,

be-iy-shon  lay-lah
in the darkness of the night.

We are like clay in Your hands;

se-lak  na  al  kal va-ko-mer,

as day pours out Your word to day,

ve-lay-lah  le-lay-lah.
and night to night.

ha-mav-dil  beyn  ko-desh  le-kol,
May He who divides holy from profane,
